Air cooled heat exchangers (or air coolers) are used to cool the process fluid and transfer its heat to the air. The most important advantage of this type of converter is the use of air as a cooling fluid, which is widely and freely available.
In Iran, where the climate is located in a dry region and many sites of the parent industry do not have access to water for cooling, the use of this type of converter is common. Also, in processes where there is a possibility of environmental pollution with toxic fluid, a suitable option is to use a cold air heat exchanger.
